2022 Tin Can Bay
Was a great trip to Tin Can Bay this year and we were lucky enough with the weather to be able to get out over the bar for 2 days of excellent fishing.
Always great to catch up with the Tin Can Bay fishing club and this year we decided to have a saturday fishing competition with them which was won by Hervey Bay but that could have been helped by the fact that Tin Can Bay Club gave us lots of their fishing marks.
Lots of stories were told of fish getting away and boats that played up on the water but a good time was had by all who attended and we look forward to next years event.
A big thankyou to the Tin Can Bay Fishing Club for their support and freindship and also to the Tin Can Bay Tourist Park in Trevally St who always look after us.
2022 Junior Whiting Competition
This years junior whiting competition was held at Pialba beach Hervey Bay behind the water park , and a great time was had for the 65 children that attended along with their carers.
40 whiting were caught over the 3 hrs with lots of smiles, Hervey Bay Amateur Fishing Club had 30 members help the children out with general knowledge and a bit of knowhow rigging baits etc, also finished off with a sausage sizzle and presentations.
